500km Barefoot Walk: 2026
This November I will be walking 500 km barefoot on stunning NSW South Coast beaches, between Batemans Bay and Eden. It's about getting some sand (lots of it) between my toes and raising funds for a school building project in rural Sri Lanka.
You can join me on the sand for some steps or start your own barefoot challenge from wherever you are in the world!
Take the Challenge with Me
Can't make it to the South Coast? Set your own barefoot goal! Walk 5km, 50km, or spend a day getting sand between your toes wherever you are. Ask your mates to donate straight to our school fundraiser ( link below ), then tag or DM me on Instagram @simplybarefoot.life so I can share your steps and give you a shoutout! Thank You.

500km = 650,000 steps. Let's make them all worthwhile. Better still, add some of your own steps; big or little, they all count.

It's not just about the poses or movement.
It's about the air you breathe, the wind in your hair, your connection with yourself, and the energy you share. Yoga never stops.
Our beachfront classes combine nature, the ocean's energy, tidal movements, and the salt air to connect you with yourself.
Everyone is welcome—experienced yogis, first-timers, and children.

Nature is all around us.
We come from nature and return to nature.
Nature is free—you can see it, hear it, touch it, and feel it within.
For me, it’s walking barefoot on the earth, the salt spray drying on my skin, the raw energy of the ocean and sunrises that warm my soul.
Nature keeps me connected.
Find some of your nature today.

We carry the ocean within us—our bodies are mostly water, and salt flows in our blood.
When we step onto the sand, we return home.
Ocean Wellness is where movement and the sea meet—feeling cool sand underfoot and letting the tide set your pace.
On the untouched shoreline of Potato Point along the Eurobodalla NSW South Coast, we practice outdoors alongside native wildlife.
Come as you are and feel the ocean's energy.
Everyone is welcome

Help us create educational opportunities for underprivileged children in rural Sri Lanka.
Where It Began
My journey started in the wake of tragedy. In 2006, following the devastating Boxing Day Tsunami, I travelled to Sri Lanka to lend a hand. Out of the rubble, a deep friendship was forged—sparking a vision to create real, long-term change. In 2020, that vision took root when I secured land in the scenic Hills District. What started as hope became a concrete reality.
Building for the Future
We are creating a self-sustaining ecosystem to uplift the entire community. A new school is under construction alongside volunteer accommodation and a small-scale farm that will generate independent income for the local villagers.
Your Impact
Every yoga class, merchandise item sale, and donation moves us one step closer to opening these doors. Your support drives our efforts to empower a rural community
Giving is Living.

" So far, we have provided educational opportunities to about 600 children."
2 of our past students have returned as qualified teachers.
We have raised $23,700 of our $50,000 goal to build the School/Farm/House. Just $20 buys 20 bricks and a bag of cement.
It is a team effort, and nothing would be possible without all your support and kindness. Thank you.
The Why
Yep , it's time to give something back. That was my first thought when I heard about the devastation in Sri Lanka many moons ago after the Boxing Day Tsunami. 20 years later, I am still blessed to be able to help out.
But giving back isn't just about looking overseas—it’s about sharing Mother Nature's wonders, the beauty of life, and the joy in the simple things right here at home, too.
The Who
I’m like most blokes. I love a yarn, a surf, salt water on my body, sand between my toes, and the smell of snags cooking on a BBQ. I love my family, my loved ones, and like everyone else, I am working my way through life’s ups and downs.
For me, it's the journey that drives me, not the final destination.
Giving is living, showing gratitude for the simple things, and being where your feet are.
Those are the pillars that guide my journey.
PS: It's only just begun
